MAY I LOVE YOU

Just a few things beautiful May has to offer.

You may want to ask me why I like May so much?

Flowers. flowers. more flowers.

The pretty colors on the blossom trees.

And the end of high school just around the corner.

I graduated from Seminary. yipeee!! There were some rough days when sleep sounded better,
however, seminary is way cool & it's really where my testimony grew strong.

My cute mom got me a little graduation present i'm obsessed with.

I love lighthouses and the whole idea behind them.

"A lighthouse is a welcoming structure, a reassuring sign of steady ground ahead, and an optimistic symbol of hope for all looking to move forward safely. It is an emblem of strength located at the edge of unpredictable tides as it provides navigational guidance and bright light in a storm. Resilient and immovable, this shining beacon encourages perseverance even in the darkest times."

Sharing the last memories in high school with my best friends.

Last school dance was Spring Fling & we all went up to Annie's beautiful ranch.

Look how clean we look.

And then...

Thanks a lot a lot Henry.

&& Always a happy girl when we get a day off from school to be with family and remember loved

ones. Also a day to get excited about pools opening and summer feeling near.

A barbecue & snow cones were priorities.

A few pictures to sum up a great month.

The last week of May will be a big one for me and I'm sure there will be
many more posts to come on this little blog of mine, that's more pictures than anything.

8 days until graduation!!

xoxo

DEAR MOM

Happy Mothers Day to my kindred spirit.
Today especially we tried to tell our momma how much she means to us, but everyday we are thankful.

When I think of my mom I think of a strong, beautiful, tender hearted, faithful, silly, and artistic woman, who I know loves her children with her whole heart.

My mom never gives anything half of herself. She is always working hard at whatever is placed before her.

Of course we made our famous chocolate mint cake for the occassion. Last year at this time I made

about thirty of them for India. It is still heavenly & deserves to be made on happy days like this one.

Also peonies because they are her favorite and she is my favorite.

I am a lucky girl to not only have one mother figure in my life, but many.
Julie is not my birth mom, but I think she is definitely meant to be in my life for a reason. She teaches me so much and I always call her when I need good advice. She is the greatest at giving good advice. I swear she's been through it all sometimes.
I also adore my grandma's who both show me the right way to serve.
Grandma Kimball has alzheimer's, however she still shows us how selfless she is when we visit. Grandma Vassau has lived alone for a long time now and I have never seen her in a negative light. She is such a happy person & someone I want to try and emulate.

Thank goodness for moms. I couldn't survive without mine. Literally.
Good thing i'll be close to home next year. She's not getting rid of me yet!
